The Narrator's Lens

Real Stories. Real People. Real Change.

our mission

Why we tell the stories that people need to hear

To create meaningful change within society, we must begin by transforming the way people think. It’s not enough to simply encourage aid or support; we need to go deeper. Change starts with raising awareness, breaking down stereotypes, providing education, and sparking important conversations. These actions are the foundation for shifting perceptions and fostering a more inclusive and empathetic community.

We collaborate with like-minded organisations to do just this, working together to address the root of societal issues through education and dialogue, so we can build a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Breaking the stereotype

When we think of homelessness, a familiar image often comes to mind—scruffy individuals begging or sleeping in shop doorways, struggling with mental health issues, addiction, or both. This image persists because it represents the most visible side of homelessness in the UK. But it is only a fraction of the full picture.

Unseen Echoes

The Unseen Echoes project challenges how we perceive domestic abuse. Too often, our understanding is shaped by what we can physically see—bruises, broken bones, and visible scars. But the reality is far more complex. Many survivors bear no external wounds, yet they live with the deep and lasting impact of psychological, emotional, financial, and coercive control.

Moments That Remain

A woman sits by the window, light catching her face as she clutches a faded photograph, her fingers tracing the outlines of faces she no longer remembers. A son gently rests his hand on his father’s shoulder, sharing a moment of connection despite the silence between them. A caregiver kneels beside an elderly man, his smile uncertain yet full of warmth as she speaks to him.
