We are pleased to share that Moments That Remain has now begun working with the Memory Café in St Albans. This partnership marks an important step in the project, allowing us to connect directly with individuals living with dementia, as well as their families and carers, in a warm and supportive environment.
The Memory Café provides a safe space for people to share experiences, engage in meaningful activities, and find comfort in community. By working alongside them, we can listen to personal stories, capture intimate portraits, and ensure that the voices of those affected by dementia are at the heart of this project.
This collaboration will enable us to document the everyday moments that remain despite memory loss—the shared laughter, the small gestures of care, and the enduring connections that dementia cannot erase. We are incredibly grateful to the team at the Memory Café for welcoming us and for their dedication to supporting those navigating the challenges of dementia.
As the project progresses, we look forward to sharing these powerful stories and photographs, bringing greater awareness and understanding to the realities of dementia in Hertfordshire.
