I founded The Narrator’s Lens with a vision shaped by my own personal journey. During the two years I experienced homelessness, I found hope and a new purpose through a charity project that introduced me to photography. That experience changed everything. It showed me how powerful storytelling can be in challenging stereotypes and shifting perspectives. Photography gave me a voice when I felt invisible, and I realised it could do the same for others. That’s why I created The Narrator’s Lens—to provide a platform for people facing adversity and discrimination to share their stories with the world.
Social documentary photography is at the heart of everything we do. I’ve seen firsthand how it can break down barriers, spark conversations, and change minds. By capturing the authentic experiences of marginalised individuals, we bring their realities to light in ways that words alone often cannot. These stories reveal social injustices but also highlight the strength and resilience of those who face them. Through powerful imagery and honest narratives, we aim to evoke empathy, encourage understanding, and foster a more compassionate society.
For me, telling these stories isn’t just important—it’s essential. It’s about raising awareness, humanising those who are too often overlooked, and challenging the assumptions that divide us. When we take the time to see the world through someone else’s eyes, we move beyond labels and towards real connection. That’s what The Narrator’s Lens is all about—using the transformative power of photography to build a more inclusive and understanding society.
Change happens when we work together. Collaboration is not just beneficial—it’s essential. It’s at the heart of what we do. Our projects are built on the belief that real change comes when organisations, individuals, and communities unite to share their voices and experiences.
When organisations work together on a single project, the impact is greater. More voices are heard. More stories are told. More people listen. The message becomes impossible to ignore. Alone, one organisation can only go so far, but together, we can challenge perceptions, break down barriers, and drive real, lasting change.
This is why we are working with more and more organisations to create our projects. We know that by bringing together different perspectives and lived experiences, we can shine a stronger light on the issues that matter. Our collaborations don’t just raise awareness—they make people stop, think, and take action.
By uniting voices, we are not just telling stories—we are making sure they are heard. And when people listen, change begins.
But collaboration isn’t just about the organisations we work with—it’s bigger than that. It’s the venues that ask us when our next exhibition will be released because they know the impact it has. It’s the communities that come together to support, share, and engage. It’s the people who walk through our exhibitions, see the stories, and feel compelled to act.
Collaboration takes a community, and a community can make a difference. When people unite around a cause, real change happens. It’s not just about raising awareness—it’s about creating a ripple effect, where stories lead to conversations, conversations lead to action, and action leads to transformation.
Every person who shares a story, every organisation that gets involved, every venue that provides space, and every visitor who walks away changed is part of this movement. This is why collaboration matters. Because together, we don’t just talk about change—we make it happen.
The following organisations have provided support either for individual projects or to help us cover our core running costs. As a non-profit organisation, we rely on funding and are grateful for all the support we receive.
Collaboration is the spark that turns voices into movements, stories into action, and communities into forces for change.
Alone, we can raise awareness—together, we can make an impact.
When one exhibition reaches thousands, those thousands take the message further—into their homes, their workplaces, their communities. We have seen people change careers, start initiatives, and advocate for policy changes because of a single experience with our work.
But real impact doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when stories are told, heard, and acted upon. When organisations, venues, communities, and individuals come together. When collaboration strengthens the message so much that it can no longer be ignored.
This is why we do what we do. Not just to document reality, but to change it. Because when we work together, awareness turns into action, and action turns into transformation. And that is how we create lasting impact.
Impact isn’t just about being seen or heard—it’s about sparking change, shifting perspectives, and driving action.
True impact lingers in the minds of those who witness it and lives on in the actions they take.
Impact is more than just raising awareness—it’s about making a real, lasting difference. It’s about moving people beyond understanding to action. Every story shared, every exhibition held, and every conversation started has the power to create change.
We have seen it firsthand. More than 20,000 people have walked through our exhibitions, each one confronted with real stories of hardship, resilience, and survival. Some have left in tears, others in deep thought, and many have left inspired—determined to take action. Whether that means volunteering, donating, or simply shifting their perspective, change has begun.
Our impact isn’t just measured in numbers but in the voices we amplify. The individual who, for the first time, feels heard. The survivor who finds strength in seeing their story matter. The organisations that gain momentum by working together.
The impact of our work is seen in the individuals who find their voices, in the organisations that unite to tackle urgent social issues, and in the communities that rally around a cause. It’s in the people who walk into an exhibition and leave with a new perspective, those who take what they’ve seen and use it to challenge stigma, influence policy, or support someone in need.

We have changed our name back to The Narrator’s Lens, but we are still the Christopher James Hall Foundation—just under a new name. Our mission and values remain the same, and we continue to create impactful projects, raise awareness, and drive change.
This rebrand is part of our journey towards becoming a charity, allowing us to expand our reach and make an even greater difference. While our name has changed, our commitment to amplifying voices and making a lasting impact remains as strong as ever.
Your support can make a real difference. People like Krystoff have powerful stories that deserve to be heard, and with your donation, we can continue to give them a platform. Every contribution helps us create exhibitions, amplify voices, and drive change. Donate today and be part of the movement.
